1.0 Why MOD Public Health Consultants (MODPHC)?
A founding entity of Public Health Specialists who came together to provide health promotion and education consultancy services using a knowledge Translation, Synthesis, and Application (KNOTSA) model.
An oversight entity fostering a business model.
2.0 Why MOD Public Health Foundation (MODPHF)?
A Non-Profit Organization that seeks to provide health promotion and education.
An oversight entity fostering prevention of disease, prolonging life, and promoting health.
3.0 Why a Fiscal Agency (FA)?
MODPHF Offices are the network headquarters that have system and structure oversight for all organisations that joined or will join to form the Public Health Steering Team -Uganda.
4.0 What is the Public Health Steering Team Uganda (PHSTU)?
The PHSTU is an Advocacy platform focusing on centering Public Health principles in the mission of CBOs/CSOs/NGOs that we work with as well as those intending to join us.
We shall support the system and structure strengthening needs or gaps of these organisations to catalyze better performance. Most organisations claiming to do Public Health are not viewing themselves as perpetual service providers whose mandate contributes to Quality of Life (QoL) metrics, but rather as short-term projects conditioned by funding. We want to turn the resources into a pool of service providers transforming communities on a daily basis.
5.0 So who joins the PHSTU?
Any organization or entity whose desire is a world where the quality of life of the people translates into good health and well-being.
6.0 Do we pay a subscription fee?
Yes, the money goes to the maintenance of the consortium.
7.0 What are our benefits accruing from joining the PHSTU?
· System and structure analysis knowledge and skills acquisition.
· Network with Public Health Specialists and contributing to wider prevention of disease, prolonging life, and promoting health at the local level.
· Resource Mobilisation and Management making it possible for the consortium members to continue implementing activities locally.
· Access to adaptive Public Health Knowledge Hub
